Paper Submission
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Submissions are invited for papers describing unpublished, original work, in the following categories:

* Research papers: Papers that describe theoretical frameworks, technical solutions, or empirical studies. Empirical studies are welcome to report empirical evidence ranging from controlled experiments to case studies and from quantitative to qualitative studies, including those that use mixed-methods. Full (10 pages) and Short papers (5 pages).

* Industry papers: Papers that describe problems or challenges encountered, lessons learned, or solutions implemented on industrial global software engineering environments. Short papers (5 pages).

* Training and Education papers: Papers that report on training or educational studies or experiences on global software engineering, recommendations or lessons learned on the organization on GSE courses, GSE curricula, required infrastructure, etc. Full (10 pages) and Short papers (5 pages).

* Ignite Talk Proposals: As a novelty for 2017, we are introducing a radical new track for the conference called Ignite Track Sessions. Good Ignite talks examples can be found at http://igniteshow.com. The intent is to draw innovative ideas from industry and scientific communities. Therefore, if you have a strong GSE-related message that you really want to share with the GSE world, we encourage you to send us a proposal for an Ignite presentation. Proposals submissions are in the form of an Title and Abstract (500 words maximum) and the presentation of selected talks should be 5 minutes long and have 20 slides which auto-advance. The contributions are less scientific in their nature but argued in a compelling way. We would like to provide an opportunity for the community to present ideas that generate discussion and have the capacity to push the field forward in an unexpected way. Tell us about tools, processes, tips, tricks, war stories, etc. The submissions will be peer-reviewed to ensure the quality of content.

Papers should be submitted as PDF files which conform to the two-column IEEE CS Press format. Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings by IEEE CS Press and the IEEE CS Digital Library.
At least 1 author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper in person at the conference or the paper will not be included in the proceedings.
Further information and updates will be available on the conference website (www.icgse.org).
