Review the list of program topics and submit your work based on the following guidelines: Submission Format: 300-400 word abstract Presentation Format: Poster presentation-only Submit via: https://www.openconf.org/LIM2021/openconf.php Submission Deadline: 26 July 2021 Acceptance Notifications:2 August 2021 Questions? London@imaging.org ************************************ Authors are invited to submit papers describing original work in technical areas related to images for deep learning. PROGRAM TOPICS include, but are not limited to: *Impact of imaging system design on DNN performance *Imaging system optimization for improved DNN performance *Imaging system modeling for data augmentation for DNN training *Metrification of imaging performance for DNN input *DNNs for metrification of imaging systems *DNNs for optimization of imaging performance *DNNs for image quality prediction *DNN components for imaging systems *Domain adaptation of DNNs for imaging systems Submissions from scientists and engineers from academia and industry, as well as graduate students, are encouraged. PEER REVIEW PROCESS AND PUBLICATION All submitted proposals are peer-reviewed to ensure that the program provides significant, timely, and authoritative information. Papers presented at the conference should be complete regarding advancing the state of knowledge in the area of imaging for deep learning. Authors are expected to adhere to the guidelines and ethics found in the IS&T Publication Policy. Conference registration is required for paper presentations. The conference language is English. HOW TO SUBMIT Prospective authors are encouraged to review all the details below, as well as the IS&T Publication Policy. Authors have the option to submit either a traditional conference paper, which is published in the LIM proceedings, or a Journal-first paper, which appears in the journal before the meeting start date, and as a reprint in the proceedings. The advantage of Journal-first is an Open Access journal citation. Journal-first is available for the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST) or Journal of Perceptual Imaging (JPI). JOURNAL-FIRST PAPER - Submission Deadline: 5 April 2021 Submit via: jist.msubmit.net OR jpi.msubmit.net Submission Format: Standard-length, publication-ready paper Review Format: Standard journal peer-review Why Journal-first? Gain a journal citation, plus a conference presentation. Guaranteed presentation slot if accepted. Fast-tracked review. Final papers are due by 12 July 2021. CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS PAPER-Submission Deadline: 26 May 2021 Requirements: A short paper (4 pages of content excluding references). Must be original work on a relevant topic. 2-4 sentences rationalizing how the submission fits the conference theme as part of the submission process. This information will be used for initial screening; submissions lacking this information will not be reviewed. The abstract should clearly explain the technical content, including how the material is new or distinct from previously presented/published work on the same topic. In addition, the paper may speculate on how your research ideas will impact the field in the future. To facilitate the double-blind review, remove all identifying information from the draft paper, including, but not limited to, author names, titles, affiliations, bios. Final decisions on acceptance and presentation format (oral or interactive poster paper) are at the discretion of the Technical Program Committee. Notices of acceptance will be sent by 30 June 2021.
