[Call For Papers]
The 13th International Conference on Advanced Data Mining and Applications (ADMA) 5--6 Nov 2017, Singapore http://www.adma2017.net/ [Important Dates] Full paper submission and Demo proposal due Jul 23, 2017 (anywhere on earth) CIKM paper and Demo paper roll-over due Aug 10, 2017 Acceptance notification Aug 18, 2017 Camera-ready due Aug 25, 2017 Early registration due Aug 31, 2017 Conference dates Nov 5--6, 2017 The year 2017 marks the 13th anniversary of the International Conference on Advanced Data Mining and Applications (ADMA 2017), which will be held in Singapore, 5—6 Nov 2016, co-located with ACM CIKM2017. It is our great pleasure to invite you to contribute papers and participate in this premier annual event on research and applications of data mining. A growing attention has been paid to the study, development, and application of data mining. As a result, there is an urgent need for sophisticated techniques and tools that can handle new subfields of data mining, e.g., smartphone and social network data mining, spatial data mining, streaming data mining, green computing data mining, biomedical data mining, the Internet of Things, and data mining for healthcare. Our expertise in data mining also has to be expanded to new applications. We invite authors to submit papers on topics of data mining and applications, including but not limited to: Data Mining Topics: Data mining foundations; Grand challenges of data mining; Parallel and distributed data mining algorithms; Mining on data streams; Graph mining; Spatial data mining; Text, video, multimedia data mining; Web mining; High performance data mining algorithms; Correlation mining; Benchmarking and evaluations; Interactive data mining; Data-mining-ready structures and pre-processing; Data mining visualization; Information hiding in data mining; Security and privacy issues; Competitive analysis of mining algorithms; Internet of Things mining; Personalization and recommendation systems Data Mining Applications: Big data; Web of Things; Grid computing; DNA sequencing, bioinformatics, genomics, and biometrics; Image interpretations; E-commerce and Web services; Medical informatics; Disaster prediction; Remote monitoring; Financial market analysis; Online filtering; Application of Data Mining in Education; Social network data mining; Smartphone data mining; Database administration, indexing, performance tuning; Green computing data mining; Smart Nation applications. Submission of Papers Paper submission will be electronic through the easy-chair website. The paper should be in English and contain unpublished contributions to the data mining and related fields. The paper should not exceed 15 pages in LNAI (Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence) format. For the template and details on the LNCS style, see Springer’s Author Instructions. We welcome high quality papers that are not accepted by CIKM 2017, to a fast track review. The authors need to submit the complete review comments from CIKM2017 as supplementary review materials Best Paper Awards The award will be given to the paper that the Program Committee judges to be the best in quality, execution and impact among all the accepted papers in the conference. Special Issues High quality papers accepted by ADMA 2017 will be invited to submit an extended version for consideration of several special issues at leading international journals. [Call For Demos] We invite proposals for demonstrations to be displayed at the Demo Session that will be organized during the ADMA 2017 conference. The demonstration will provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and developers from academia, industry and government to display their latest data mining software systems, prototypes, conceptual designs, libraries, etc., in an interactive and inspiring setting. Demo of advanced data mining and applications that involve state-of-the-art data mining techniques or innovative man-machine interaction are highly encouraged. Submitted demo is not required to be ready for commercial application, as long as it is of interest to the ADMA community. The demo proposals should clearly describe the motivation and design of the demo system, the functionality of the work, and the significant of the contribution from a research and practical perspectives. Submission of Demos 1. Demo proposals must include a paper that is no longer than six pages in LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) style. The page limit applies to the cikm demo paper roll-over as well. 2. Papers of the accepted demos will be published in the ADMA 2017 Conference Proceedings. 4. Demo proposals must be submitted to adma2017sg@gmail.com. Selection Criteria 1. Relevance to the ADMA community 2. Novelty of the application domain 3. Attractiveness of the interactive system 4. Technology used in the demo software 5. Potential for commercial applicationsin real life For any questions regarding demo submissions, please email the Demo Session Chairs at zhifeng.bao@rmit.edu.au or xin.cao@unsw.edu.au. |
