Call For Papers

On behalf of Addiction Therapy 2017 Organizing Committee, we cordially invite professors, scientific communities, therapists, counsellors, students and business delegates to attend the "7th International Conference and Exhibition on Addiction Research and Therapy" which is to be held on November 13-15, 2017 in Las Vegas, USA. The main theme of the conference is "Unifying the new discoveries and advanced approaches toward Addiction".
Addiction Therapy 2017 aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Addiction Treatment and Therapy. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of addiction treatment and therapy.
Recent estimates are that in 2008, 155 to 250 million people, or 3.5% to 5.7% of the world's population aged 15-64, used other psychoactive substances, such as cannabis, amphetamines, cocaine, opioids, and non-prescribed psychoactive prescription medication. Globally, cannabis is the most commonly used (129-190 million people), followed by amphetamine type stimulants, then cocaine and opioids. The harmful use of alcohol results in 3.3 million deaths each year. On average every person in the world aged 15 years or older drinks 6.2 liters of pure alcohol per year. Less than half the population (38.3%) actually drinks alcohol, this means that those who do drink consume on average 17 liters of pure alcohol annually. At least 15.3 million persons have drug use disorders.

Worldwide consumption in 2010 was equal to 6.2 liters of pure alcohol consumed per person aged 15 years or older, which translates into 13.5 grams of pure alcohol per day. A quarter of this consumption (24.8%) was unrecorded, i.e., homemade alcohol, illegally produced or sold outside normal government controls. Of total recorded alcohol consumed worldwide, 50.1% was consumed in the form of spirits. Worldwide 61.7% of the population aged 15 years or older (15+) had not drunk alcohol in the past 12 months. In all WHO regions, females are more often lifetime abstainers than males. There is a considerable variation in prevalence of abstention across WHO regions. Worldwide about 16.0% of drinkers aged 15 years or older engage in heavy episodic drinking.

Why to attend?
The Conference will encourage new discoveries and research by providing a platform for reporting of unique and unusual cases which enhance understanding of disease process, its diagnosis, management and clinico-pathologic correlations. It will provide a podium for wide-ranging aspects of psychological, neurological, molecular, genetic and behavioural pathways underlying addiction, and will focus on novel therapies providing quality care for people with unhealthy alcohol, tobacco, or other drug use and addictive behaviour’s across a spectrum of clinical settings. It will comprise of opening Keynote lectures by the renowned researcher and noble members working in the field of addiction research and treatment followed by the special workshop and symposium sessions by eminent scholars and therapeutic members for all the three days of the conference.
