The Conference on Selected Areas in Cryptography (SAC) is an annual conference dedicated to specific themes in the area of cryptographic system design and analysis. SAC 2016 will take place at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, on August 10-12, 2016. Following the success of the first SAC Summer School (S3) in 2015, SAC 2016 will be immediately preceded by S3, which will run August 8-9.
Authors are encouraged to submit original papers related to the following themes for the SAC 2016 conference. Note that the first three are traditional SAC areas, and the fourth topic is the special focus for this year. • Design and analysis of symmetric key primitives and cryptosystems, including block and stream ciphers, hash functions, MAC algorithms, and authenticated encryption schemes. • Efficient implementations of symmetric and public key algorithms. • Mathematical and algorithmic aspects of applied cryptology. • Side channel, fault and related attacks on symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic primitives and their countermeasures. Papers must be submitted electronically. Submission details will be given on the conference web site. The general theme of the 2016 SAC Summer School (S3) will be: “Secure and efficient implementation of symmetric and public key algorithms (with special regard to side channel attacks)” Further details will be provided on the SAC Conference web site. Important Dates: Paper submission deadline 18 May 2016 Modifications allowed until 22 May 2016 Notification of decision 28 Jun 2016 Pre-proceedings deadline 18 Jul 2016 SAC Summer School 8-9 Aug 2016 SAC Conference 10-12 Aug 2016 Contact: Further information can be found at www.engr.mun.ca/~sac2016.
