The International Conference on Parallel Problem Solving From Nature is a biannual open forum fostering the study of natural models, iterative optimization heuristics search heuristics, machine learning, and other artificial intelligence approaches. We invite researchers and practitioners to present their work, ranging from rigorously derived mathematical results to carefully crafted empirical studies.
PPSN was originally designed to bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of Natural Computing, the study of computing approaches which are gleaned from natural models. Today, the conference series has evolved and welcomes works on all types of iterative optimization heuristics. Notably, we also welcome submissions on connections between search heuristics and machine learning or other artificial intelligence approaches. Submissions covering the entire spectrum of work, ranging from rigorously derived mathematical results to carefully crafted empirical studies, are invited. Following PPSN’s unique tradition, all accepted papers will be presented during poster sessions and will be included in the proceedings. The proceedings will be published in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series by Springer. - All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. - Papers must be submitted as PDF files in Springer LNCS style through the conference Paper Submission page. The page limit is 14 pages, excluding references. - Authors’ names need not be hidden for the reviewing process. PPSN 2024 will be held in the modern University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Hagenberg Campus is part of Softwarepark Hagenberg, the largest technology park for software in Central Europe. Located just 20km north of Linz, Hagenberg is an idyllic town in the beautiful Mühlviertel, in the heart of Upper Austria. In the last decade, with its unique combination of IT-related education, research and business in one place, Hagenberg has established itself as an internationally recognised center for computing and software development. The outstanding mix of the most modern technology combined with the picturesque setting of the Hagenberg castle gives the town its unique flair. Hagenberg is located in Upper Austria’s beautiful Muehlviertel region and only 20 kilometres from Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. If you plan to come by car, you certainly can directly go to Hagenberg. In case you plan to use a plane or the railway, you will always travel via Linz. For traveling between Linz and the conference venue Hagenberg, a shuttle bus service will be organized in addition to available public transportation. All information regarding the conference organization, call for papers/tutorials/workshops, submission, registration, venue, etc. will be provided and constantly updated on our website and on our social media channels.
