# PDP 2025: CALL FOR PAPERS ## 33rd Euromicro/IEEE International Conference on Parallel, Distributed, and Network-Based Processing (PDP 2025) Turin, Italy, March 12-14, 2025 Web: (http://www.pdp2025.org/) __PDP__ is among the prime European and International conferences covering all aspects of __parallel__ and __distributed__ processing, ranging from theory to practice, from small to the largest parallel and distributed systems and infrastructures, from fundamental computational problems to full-fledged applications, from architecture, compiler, language and interface design and implementation, to tools, support infrastructures, and application performance aspects. ## Scope We invite submissions of high-quality, novel and original research results in areas of parallel and distributed computing including but not limited to: * __Algorithms__: resource-aware and power-efficient algorithms; real-time and fault-tolerant distributed/parallel algorithms; graph and network algorithms * __Applications__: numerical and scientific applications with multi-level parallelism; applications with computations over irregular domains; models and methods to enhance functional/non-functional application characteristics * __Data-centric Processing__: scientific workflows; large-scale data processing; large-scale data management; scalable and next-generation storage systems; I/O performance tuning, benchmarking, and middleware; FAIR/open data systems * __Distributed AI__: Federated Learning; Distributed Learning; AI at scale; training of LLMs; benchmarking for AI workloads * __Distributed Computing__: cluster, fog/edge, mobile and cloud systems; Service-oriented processing; Federated Learning; stochastic and approximate computing; cost, security, energy, and other non-functional requirements models and frameworks * __Parallel Computing__: accelerator-based systems inc. GPU, FPGA, neuromorphic, and post-CMOS devices; embedded parallel systems; dependability, survivability, and fault-tolerance; methodologies, benchmarking/metrics, and performance analysis and tools * __Programming Models and Tools__: programming languages, compilers, middleware, and OS; libraries, runtime, and systems software; notations; performance prediction and analysis; simulation and modelling of parallel/distributed systems * __HPC state of practice__: Managing systems and storage; Managing facilities; HPC project management; Moving, managing and sharing data HPC in the cloud; Networking and cybersecurity; HPC training and education strategies; Application workflows; System benchmarking * __Systems and Architectures__: high data throughput and streaming architectures; memory organization; service-oriented architectures; heterogeneous and hybrid systems; resource management; post-CMOS architectures inc. quantum, neuromorphic, and others The conference will feature contributed and invited talks. Co-located _Special Sessions_ are also planned as usual for PDP. ## Special Sessions The PDP conference is traditionally organized into multiple tracks: a main track (which accepts contributions on all conference topics) plus a series of specialized tracks called "special sessions", focused on multidisciplinary aspects involving parallel and distributed computing. The special sessions are organized upon request by an organizing committee that manages them independently (with their chairs, program committees, etc.). The proceedings of the special sessions will be published in the same IEEE volume as the main track and therefore must respect the rules of the conference (including the paper acceptance rate, to be agreed with the general chairs of the conference). However, special sessions may have a later deadline than the main track, provided that the organizers can complete the article review for the final deadline of the camera ready copy (Jan 27, 2025). ## Important Dates * Special Session proposals: __August 31, 2024__ * Paper abstracts (main track): __October 15, 2024, 23:59 AOE__ * Full paper submission (main track): __October 20, 2024, 23:59 AOE__ * Author notification (main track): __December 2, 2024__ * Camera ready full papers (all tracks): __January 27, 2025__ ## Submission Guidelines Submissions must be in PDF format and should not exceed __8__ pages in the in the [IEEE Conference proceedings format (IEEEtran, double-column, 10pt)] (https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html) to the conference main track or one of the Special Sessions through the EasyChair submission system indicating the Main Track or the chosen Special Session. * __Double-blind review__: the paper should not contain authors’ names and affiliations; in the reference list, references to the authors’ work entries should be substituted with the string “omitted for blind review.” * __Registration__: At least one author of an accepted paper must register for the conference and present in person their paper at the conference venue in Torino. * __Publication__: All accepted papers will be included in the same proceedings volume published by Conference Publishing Services ( https://ieeecps.org). Complete LaTeX sources must be provided for accepted papers. * __Copyright__: Only contributions that are not submitted elsewhere or currently under review will be considered. Authors of accepted papers will have to sign a IEEE copyright form. ## Location PDP 2025 will be held in Turin, Italy, March 12th-14th, 2025, at the rectorate building of the University of Turin, located in the very centre of the city Turin. It is organized by the Computer Science Department of the University of Turin. ## Conference General Co-Chairs * Alessia Antelmi (University of Torino) * Iacopo Colonnelli (University of Torino) * Doriana Medic (University of Torino) * Horacio González-Vélez (National College of Ireland) ## Organization and Topic Chairs (http://www.europar2025.org/organization) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
