CALL FOR PAPERS (deadline extended) ************************************************************************* 10th International Workshop on Middleware for Grids, Clouds and e-Science - MGC 2012 (http://mgc2012.lncc.br/) In conjunction with ACM/IFIP/USENIX 13th International Middleware Conference 2012 Montreal, Quebec, Canada. December 3rd-7th, 2012 All selected papers for this workshop will be peer-reviewed and published with ACM. Selected (extended) papers should be invited to submit to a high quality Journal Special Issue ************************************************************************* IMPORTANT DEADLINES Paper submissions: August 23, 2012 (hard deadline) Notification of attendance: September 21, 2012 Camera-ready: October 5, 2012 Submissions at: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mgc20120 ************************************************************************* DESCRIPTION The MGC series of workshops have been generating substantial interest in the community and it is anticipated that this interest will continue. Far from exhausting the topics of interest, they have paved the way for a 10th edition of the workshop in the series. For the MGC 2012 workshop, researchers are encouraged to submit and present original work related to Cloud, and e-Science middleware to be considered for publication. Within this overall scope, MGC 2012 will emphasize issues of scalability in terms of grid and cloud mechanisms for computation and data scaling as well as adaptive and semantic mechanisms for scaling capabilities across disciplines and over time. Overall topics of interest include but are not limited to: + Cloud Computing Middleware + SaaS, PaaS, IaaS + Utility computing + Grid computing + Economic models for clouds + Virtualization Middleware + Service Level Agreements + Strategies and Protocols to Support QoS + Managing Large Data Centers + Dependability and Fault Tolerance + Performance Evaluation and Modeling + Metadata and Schemas + Programming Models and Tools + Resource Management and Scheduling + Management of Scientific Models and Workflows + Energy Management and Green Computing + Information Services + Portals and Containers + Adaptive / Autonomic Middleware + Application Testbeds + e-Science applications + Security ************************************************************************* WORKSHOP CO-CHAIRS Bruno Schulze - LNCC, BR Luiz Bittencourt - UNICAMP, BR Rafael Tolosana-Calasanz - UNIZAR, ES ************************************************************************* PROGRAM COMMITTEE (TBC) Daniel Macedo Batista - USP, BR Michael Bauer - Univ. of Western Ontario, CA Francisco Brasileiro - UFCG, BR Rajkumar Buyya - UniMelb, AU Luis Carlos Erpen de Bona - UFPR, BR Thomas Fahringer - Univ. of Innsbruck, AT Geoffrey C.
