SCOPE
________________________________________________________________________________________ Ambient Intelligence (AmI) is a recent paradigm emerging from Artificial Intelligence (AI), where computers are used as proactive tools assisting people with their day-to-day activities, making everyone’s life more comfortable. Another main concern of AmI originates from the human-computer interaction domain and focuses on offering ways to interact with systems in a more natural way by means of user-friendly interfaces. This field is evolving quickly as can be witnessed by the emerging natural language and gesture based types of interaction. The inclusion of computational power and communication technologies in everyday objects is growing and their embedding into our environments should be as invisible as possible. In order for AmI to be successful, human interaction with computing power and embedded systems in the surroundings should be smooth and happen without people actually noticing it. The only awareness people should have arises from AmI: more safety, comfort and wellbeing, emerging in a natural and inherent way. ISAmI is the International Symposium on Ambient Intelligence, aiming to bring together researchers from various disciplines that constitute the scientific field of Ambient Intelligence to present and discuss the latest results, new ideas, projects and lessons learned. Brand new ideas will be greatly appreciated, as well as relevant revisions and actualizations of previously presented work, project summaries and PhD theses. info@isami-conference.net TOPICS ________________________________________________________________________________________ The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Applications - Ambient Assisted Living - Ubiquitous Computing - Artificial Intelligence for AmI - Distributed Computing - Domotics (Home Automation) - Pervasive Computing - Context-Aware Computing - Agent & Multiagent Systems for AmI - Mobile Computing - Robotics - Computational Creativity - Sentient Computing - e-Health - Context Modeling - e-Learning - Memory Assistant PLENARY SPEAKERS ________________________________________________________________________________________ Mikel Diez Parra, Quantum Global Enablement Lead - IBM Research (Spain) Chee Kit LOOI, The Education University of Hong Kong (China) Martin Saska, Multi-robot Systems Group (Czech Republic) Jeffrey Alan Tomalka, Emory University (USA) Adriana Tomic, Boston University (USA) Nidal Nasser, Alfaisal University(Saudi Arabia) SPECIAL ISSUES ________________________________________________________________________________________ ∎ Special issue IJIMAI - International Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence JCR (2022): 3.6 (Q3) ∎ Special issue "Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing Technologies for Smart Cities and Rural Areas: Sensing and Information Management Technologies" MDPI Sensors Journal JCR (2022): 3.9 (Q1) ∎ Special issue "Blockchain Applications in the Metaverse for Smart Cities" MDPI Smart Cities Journal, JCR (2022): 6.4 (Q1) ∎ Special issue "Advanced Architectures for Hybrid Edge Analytics Models on Adaptive Smart Areas" MDPI Electronics Journal JCR (2022): 2.9 (Q2) ∎ Special Issue on the Journal Future Internet: “Deep Learning in Recommender Systems” published in MDPI Future Internet Journal JCR (2022): 3.4 ∎ Special Issue on the Journal Future Internet: “Security in the Internet of Things (IoT)”” published in MDPI Future Internet Journal, JCR (2022): 3.4 ∎ Special issue "Advancements in Practical Applications of Agents, Multi-Agent Systems and Digital Twins" MDPI Systems Journal, JCR (2022): 1.9 (Q2) ∎ Special issue ADCAIJ - Advances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal JCR (2022): 1.4, JCI (2022): 0.09 (Q4) LIST OF WORKSHOPS IN ISAMI 2024 ________________________________________________________________________________________ ∘ AIM: Workshop on Active Intelligent Mobility ∘ FDOM: Workshop on Fault Detection, Optimization and Modeling for Decision Making ∘ PSO-ML: Workshop on Power System Optimization and Machine Learning Models ∘ QUEST: Workshop on Quantum Economics and Sustainable Futures: Exploring the Intersection of Quantum Computing, Economics, Finance and Society COMMITTEES ________________________________________________________________________________________ GENERAL CHAIR Paulo Novais (Chair), University of Minho (Portugal) PROGRAM COMMITTEE Parameshachari B.D, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (India) Ichiro Satoh, National Institute of Informatics (Japan) WORKSHOP CHAIR Vicente Julián Inglada, Technical University of ValenciaSpain ORGANIZING COMMITTEE Ricardo S. The Doctoral Consortium is intended for students who have a specific research proposal and some preliminary results, but who are still far from completing their dissertation. All proposals submitted to the Doctoral Consortium will undergo a thorough reviewing process with the aim of providing detailed and constructive feedback. The accepted submissions will be presented at the Doctoral Consortium and published in the conference proceedings.
